Why would you buy an i3..... It has integrated graphics in it. so normally you buy an i5. with a graphics card. or an i3 without one.

Grammar fail :(

You won't be able to max out newer games with this computer.

This is a good low-budget build, ignore poplast. An i5 would have cost at least 80 more dollars (which is a problem for budget builders). The external card will also take some load off the processor. You should be able to push that processor to at least 3.4ghz+ in the future when you want to overclock it (just get a better cooler than the intel one).

You left out your PSU, throw that into the list.

Also, you will be able to upgrade your processor and GPU in the future. (Though I do suggest upgrading your GPU first, it's a little weak).

This is a solid build, good job. Any pics?

btw, we have a computer section -__-

Obviously you don't know what the Core i3 really does. The integrated graphics only work on light shit like movies, pictures, youtube, etc.. the GPU kicks in when you need more power. Having an integrated graphics with the processor is actually a good idea because it can be used for different occasions.

Sounds pretty good to me. But I don't keep up with what's what in a computer anymore.

Putting it together would be fun imo, but trying to decide what to buy is annoying, lol.

yeah it was a low-budget build for $639.99 excluding the monitor and disc drive(dad paid for the monitor cuz it was over my budget and took disc drive from old comp.) AND it was a barebone kit at tigerdirect.com. it was either that or another pre-built one for about 5 bucks less but i chose this cuz it had better parts and it was under my budget. @fatman overclocking would be nice but i dont want burn out my CPU that quick. i bought this kit cuz my old comp has that "code purple" error thing(check in comp section to read the whole problem.)

Meh, I like clear cut choices. If you can afford it, of course go for the best parts. But on a budget... nah...

I have to agree with fats. Making the lists on newegg is pretty fun. Assembling it can be a pain, but it can be fun too ... which makes it a double edged sword.

Don't get me wrong, building the thing is fun too. I guess I meant to say that making the list of parts and deciding exactly which parts is fun too (along the lines of what potato said.)
