As I traversed through the blizzard, braving the cold and bitter wind, I arrived at a large boulder. It was bewildering. A boulder in the middle of a blizzard. Now that I look back, perhaps I'm just a foolish man. Believing a dream could help our cause. I pray to you, God. I pray we survive this and rebuild, becoming stronger than ever before. If we take this day lightly, I fear it is the end for us all.

I wonder if this time, the villagers will listen to my ideas? A feeling in the pit of my stomach says I am correct, but one man alone cannot take on a small army of vicious creatures. No one could have prepared for this. Even worse, rumors are flying that our very own villagers are the cause, resembling a virus eating a body inside-out. Why are we forsaken? I have given up hope.

Hallelujah! The tables have turned. Faith reigns once more! In what could be only described as a miracle, an angel with six wings descended upon the center of town. 'I bring hope.' The only words it spoke as everyone gathered in a circle around this magnificent creature. The angel waved its arms into the air and quickly vanished as a brilliant flash illuminated the area. I noticed a few villagers looked odd, but they claimed nothing was wrong so everyone returned to their homes. 'I bring hope." What could it mean? Regardless, I have finally figured a piece of the puzzle out. 662222. An estimate. Quite big for an estimate, but an estimate nonetheless. Tomorrow, the war begins. We will fight back and we will destroy these invaders or may God help us all.' "

Due to the recent hard drive crash, TWG I has reverted back to a previous time in the game's timeline. TWG I has gone on long enough, so TWG I is now done. Congrats to everyone who remained alive the longest. It was truly a good game. I can't really call the game in favor of one side so that's gonna be up to you guys to decide.

The Conclusion

Too bad. The story was pretty good this time around, but it's gonna have to end with the last visible entry. My intentions for the story were to have it play out like a journal. That's why in the early parts of the game, there were dates. Then phases started lasting longer than normal and the date idea was dropped. The story was of an NPC villager who considered himself the "general" of the villagers. That's why he always ended his entries with "-General". "???" came in around halfway. "???" was someone from the future reading the journal. Depending on the outcome of the game, "???" was going to be "General" himself (if the villagers won) or someone from a history museum (if the wolves won). Won't know now lol.

The Hints

This is the section of the game that I have been DYING to explain. DYING!.

The first hint was 662222. There were people who got the meaning of the hint instantly. 6 Wolves, 6 Villagers, 2 of each special villager. That's all. It was merely coincidence that it added up to 20 and that god_vivec1 was #20.

The second hint was "Robert, my old friend. Even now I envy your death. Before the storm hit, everything was crystal clear. Or so I thought. Rambling on about her. Never again shall we meet." Probably the best hint ever. Seriously. Take the first letter of each sentence and put them together. R (Robert) E (Even) B (Before) O (Or) R (Rambling) N (Never). REBORN. This was meant to point TC-Reborn out as a Wolf, but no one ever figured it out.

The third hint was "Rebirth, I long for it." Again, Pointing out TC-Reborn. No one even realized it until near the end (the part of the game that is gone now).

The fourth hint was "During the night, I dreamt of an incredible blizzard, but we have not seen snow in many a year. As I traversed through the blizzard, braving the cold and bitter wind, I arrived at a large boulder. It was bewildering. A boulder in the middle of a blizzard. Now that I look back, perhaps I'm just a foolish man. Believing a dream could help our cause." The boulder in the blizzard. A genius of a hint. A boulder is made out of what? Rock? Hard rock. Or, perhaps, Stone? A blizzard is obviously.... Cold? So we have Stone Cold. Who is obsessed with Stone Cold on the forums? Marvelous Mark. By pure coincidence, Mark still died after this hint was given, but no one used the hint as evidence against him lol.

The fifth hint was the latest one... I don't even remember it now. It was something about a poem and an assassin that steals things. Stealer = Thief. Thiefstyle.

Looking back, I didn't really do a good job with giving out enough hints, but it's ok. The villagers still did incredibly well.

The Results and the Key

Overall, I enjoyed TWG I very much. It was a "beta" game that served its purpose nicely. Even though the feedback thread is fucked up too now due to the HDD crash, the ideas haven't left so TWG II will be fine. Now I just have to get a story idea together.
